Seth Meaders graduated from Texas A&M in 2014 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. That same year, he began working at JA Electronics as an Inventory Manager. In 2018, he advanced to the role of Operations Manager, a position he continues to hold. Additionally, Seth began teaching at technical schools in 2020.

Additionally, he plays a crucial role in regulatory audits, ensuring compliance both internally and externally. His expertise in anode bed installations, casing repair, AC mitigation, and coating projects highlights his comprehensive skill set in the field.

Presentation: “The Integrity of a Corrosion Technician”

Stephen Ball is the Corrosion Manager for MPLX Gathering and Processing. He leads a team of corrosion technicians, specialists, and engineers. With a decade of experience, Stephen has a boots on the ground approach which stems from how he started in the industry as a wire roller on a CIS crew during a college internship. This approach has carried through to various roles on the contractor and operator side of the business. Outside of work, Stephen is an avid sports fan and can be found watching football, baseball, or golf.

speaker 4: Taylor Ganong

A seasoned engineering professional with expertise in asset integrity and corrosion control, Taylor Ganong currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Williams in Houston, TX, Taylor provides subject matter expertise in external corrosion control (including compliance with DOT PHMSA standards) and collaborates to refine company standards, procedures, and training materials. With over eight years of industry experience spanning roles on both the operator and service sides, Taylor specializes in cathodic protection, AC mitigation, and comprehensive pipeline integrity management.

He holds an A.A.S. in Corrosion Technology from Kilgore College, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Houston, and an M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering and an M.B.A. from Oklahoma State University. His professional certifications include NACE CP-3 Cathodic Protection Technologist and CIP-1 Coating Inspector.

In addition to his technical achievements, Taylor is passionate about advancing safety, sustainability, and innovation in the energy industry.

Stephen Willis is the corrosion manager for the Central Region of Kinder Morgan’s Products Pipeline business unit. He is located in Houston, TX, and manages a team of corrosion technicians that are responsible for monitoring and mitigating both internal and external corrosion threats. Stephen has been actively in the corrosion prevention industry for over 22 years, with a specialty in cathodic protection.
